03 Jul Start using Instagram on your business website
Over the last couple of years, I have been speaking to many clients about setting up social media for their business.
I think setting up Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn are some of the best platforms and linking them to your website does help drive traffic to your website, it also helps with SEO and with brand awareness. Social media also works well for people who are on your website already wanting to check out your business socially for how well your company is doing. Customers will be looking at how often do you post content, photos, videos, are you passionate about what you do, how many reviews do you have and maybe number of likes or followers is part of someone’s decision in choosing your business. Maybe even just to see how real your business is!
This blog is mainly to talk about Instagram, so I will not go off on a tangent! I find Instagram a very useful tool for allowing website owners to share their photos on their websites. Sharing photos will help people as I mentioned earlier what you do, where you are and generally have a feeling of how good your business is. Photos will also make your website pages look more attractive with colour and most people would like to scroll through some photos than read all your content.
You are most probably thinking, social media is not for me, I don’t have time, it is too hard, or “I just make gravity die castings and nobody really wants to see this” Wrong, if you are in business then someone is interested in your products or services. You could take photos of your products, your business premises, the people who work there, the office pet, anything really! You could get creative by recording a video and talk about “who you are”, “what you do” and “why you do this”… these messages are strong and build a personal connection with the audience.
We have been using a clever Instagram widget to integrate Instagram photos into client’s websites. These clients are from all sorts of industries like Gravity Die Cast Moulding, Racing Car Restoration Specialists, Garage Door Specialists, and many others.
Clients have found it is very easy to upload photos to Instagram using their smart phone and the Instagram App. There is a range of photo editing tools inside the app which makes your photos look colourful, vibrant, and can easily be resized. It makes it very easy to upload content to your website while having a social presence at the same time.
We have lots of ideas to further improve your Instagram content, market to your audience and make updating your website a little easier.
